1. To register as a Jobseeker in Botswana through the Labour Market Observatory (LMO), you have to submit your application to the LMO using their online portal. Please view the LMO contact details via this link:Link
2. Visit the LMO website:Link
3. Navigate your mouse cursor toward the top-right of the home page to point at the “Register” button and open the dropdown menu and then select “Job Seeker Registration” to go to the job seeker account page
4. On this page, the under create a new account, enter all the required details and check the terms and condition by clicking in the checkbox and enter the CAPTCHA code then click on the “Create new account” button
5. After successful registration, a verification link will be sent to the email address you have used in the registration process
6. Go to your email inbox and open the email from the LMO, read the email, and click on the verification link
7. The verification link will direct you to the Job Seeker Account Login Page. Enter either your Username or Email address, password, and complete the CAPTCHA code then click on the “Login” button at the bottom of the page to log into your Account.

Apply In Person:

1. To Register for Employment, the applicant has to approach the Botswana Labour Market Observatory (LMO) – link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
6. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
7. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
8. Then the application will be processed further.
9. For further process, the applicant has to follow the instruction given by the officer.
10. This entire process can be completed within 5 – 7 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
