- The Ministry of Health & Awareness (MoH), Department of Public Health office with the aid of public and private registered hospitals and clinics offers services such as Primary Health Care Services that includes HIV and AIDS Services. MoH Contact & Map Details
- Persons who wish to access such services should visit the nearest health facilities- both public and private; as well as designated civil society organizations for HIV testing services. The services that are provided by these medical facilities includeProvides HIV/AIDS and STI Counselling and Testing Services.
- Provides Behavior Change Interventions and Communications (BCIC) on HIV/AIDS.
- Provides information on HIV/AIDS.
- Provide technical guidance to HIV/AIDS workplace programs.
- In the case of HIV/AIDS and STI Counselling and Testing Services the blood test result will be issued the same day for adults and children above 18 months, will the results for infants less than eighteen (18) months the result will be issued in Fourteen (14) working days.
- If the result is positive, the patient will be further counseled, educated on how to live a healthy and productive life, and enrolled in the HIV/AIDS treatment program that aid to assist all people living with HIV/AIDS to have easy access to the universal free antiretroviral treatment (ART).
- The patient will be issued with a clinic card that should be presented to the clinic for the patient to access other HIV and AIDS services such as refill for the ARV drugs, food, and nutrition education, etc.

Ministry Business hours: Monday-Friday from 8:00 am-1:00 pm and 2:00 pm -5:00 pm, closed during Public Holidays.
NOTE:Hours of Operation: Public Clinics operate weekdays from 7.30 am to 4.30 pm with a nurse on call available after hours, weekends and holidays. Some public clinics operate 24 hours.
Eligibility
- Citizens and non-citizens of all ages are eligible to obtain these services.
Fees
- General consultation for locals in government/public clinics is 5 Pula. Children under five years of age and elders above 65 years do not pay consultation fees.

- The HIV and AIDS services offered by the various medical institutions aim to increase HIV awareness, HIV care, support, treatment of HIV-related infections, and non-clinical services that in combination with antiretroviral therapy contribute towards the reduction of rates of ill health and AIDS-related deaths among people living with HIV.
