1. The notification for Change of Non-Governmental Organization Address shall be made to the Department of Civil and National Registration office, whose mandate is to register and certify societies; (non-profit making societies and non–governmental organizations) in Botswana. 2. The applicant shall make an application in writing in the prescribed form as determined by the Registrar, copies of these forms are available at the Department of Civil and National Registration Regional Offices.
3. The completed duly application form shall be accompanied by the supporting documentation as mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page, should be submitted to the Registrar's office. Any omission of the required information and documents will render the application process incomplete.
4. Upon receipt of the application, the Registrar will check for discrepancies or ineligibility in the application documents. If a discrepancy that cannot be immediately corrected exists in any of the documents, the application and all the submitted documents will be returned to the applicant and should not be re-submitted until the discrepancy has been rectified.
5. If the registrar is satisfied that all the requirements have been met for the application, he/she will register the application and issue the applicant an acknowledgment slip as proof of submission of the application, and for inquiry referencing if the need arises.
6. After the successful screening of the submitted documents, the registrar will update the society registry, and a letter confirming changes will be sent to the NGO.

• Copy of the Certificate of Registration of the NGO.
• Identification document of the applicant
• Authorization letter from the NGO signed by an authorized official. (if applicable)
• Proof of change of address (Water/electricity bills/telephone bills etc.)
• Any other information may be required by the Registrar

When any Non-Governmental Organization registered or exempted from registration changes the situation of its registered office or postal address, it should give notice of the change to the Registrar at the Department of Civil and National Registration Local/Regional Office
