- The Mobile Stop Clinic program is an initiative by the Ministry of Health and Awareness that aims in educating people in the awareness and prevention of AIDS/HIV whilst also providing much-needed health and medical services to rural and remote areas of the country that are not able to access medical facility easily. - Generally, the mobile stop clinic visits remote rural areas as scheduled by the head of the district health office, which then relays the schedule to the community leaders of that particular region, which then informs the public (community).
- On the scheduled date the mobile clinic truck rolls to a scheduled stop, everyone who wishes to utilize the service is merged into a single line. The MoH team unloaded the truck and swiftly set up shop, each member of the mobile clinic is responsible for a small station serving a very specific function.
- Each patient will be examined, tested, and diagnosed or Counselled, and advised either by an MoH Nurse Health Education Assistant or lay counselor.

NOTE: Hours of Operation: Public Clinics operate weekdays from 7.30 am to 4.30 pm with a nurse on call available after hours, weekends and holidays. Some public clinics operate 24 hours.

- Citizens and non-citizens of all ages are eligible to obtain these services.
Fees
- General consultation for locals is 5 Pula. Children under five years of age and elders above 65 years do not pay consultation fees.

- Mobile clinics are designed to offer general consultation for all types of diseases in adults: antenatal services for pregnant women; immunization and growth monitoring for children under 5; family planning for women of childbearing age; HIV testing and counseling; malaria rapid test; and typhoid rapid test.
