1. Individuals or groups that want to hold a concert, charity walk, road race, small wedding, or other special events in a government park should file the request at least 30 days prior to the event to the local authority office. Local Authority Contact Details
2. Applicants should send a request letter and should outlining the details mentioned below, and should be submitted attached to the supporting documentation as mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page to the local authority office with the park’s jurisdiction.
   • Name of the applicant/organization,
   • Contact details,
   • Name of the park you wish to rent,
   • Type/ nature of the event you wish to hold,
   • Time and date you would like to rent the park.
3. Upon receipt of the requested file, the authorized officer will verify if all the required documents and information have been provided before registering the file for processing and consideration.
4. Applicants will be issued with an acknowledgment letter as proof of submission of the request and for future reference, if the need arises.
5. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their request through the applicable notification channel.
6. Approval to issue the park rental permit to the client will be made, if the authority is satisfied that the applicant has all the applicable permits, the gartering is peaceful and lawful in accordance with the law of Botswana, and if the park is available for rental.
7. The client will be required to make all applicable rental fees, for the booking of the park and will be issued with a park rental permit.
