Botswana - Apply for an Agricultural Land Utilization

How to Apply
Apply In-Person

  1. You should visit the nearest District Agricultural Office or Sub District Agricultural Offices {see address details}.
  2. State the reason for your visit, required information about the land and submit the supporting documents {see required document section below} to the agent in charge for processing.
  3. After the processing period which is within 14 days, revisit the specific office you had file the request with and present your ID card to be validated by the agent.
  4. You will then be advised and educated about technical services on land assessment for agricultural purpose, land suitability, soil fertility, land rehabilitation and land identification by an agent.

  • Certified copy of National Identity Card (Omang)
  • Certified copy of Land board Certificate
  • Request letter from the customer or stakeholder

Need for the Document

This service allows applicant to be advised on technical services on land assessment for agricultural purpose, land suitability, soil fertility, land rehabilitation and land identification by an expert. The service also focuses on implementation of agricultural land use plans in collaboration with other stakeholders.
