Apply In-Person

1. One should contact the Madirelo Training & Testing Centre near you for consultation and file the application with the Centre,
2. Application form can be obtained from the above offices, accurately fill in the form and attach the required documents copies and submit them to the authorized official.
3. If you wish to be tested on practical skills only, the application form should indicate that it’s for Trade Test C (P) test
4. Your application will be processed and if you qualify for the test, a letter inviting you for a test will be mailed. The letter will include all the necessary information about .where (location), when (date and time) and what to bring to the test.
5. Pay the examination fees.
6. After successful completion of the test, the test will be graded within two weeks and you will be able to collect the certificate, if you were successful.
7. You will be informed where (location) to collect your certificate.
   

Appeal
Candidate if not satisfied can lodge a written complaint to MTTC within 14 days after the release of results

• Two certified copies of Omang Card
• Two certified copies of academic, vocational, or trade certificates
• Reference letter from the employer

All citizens who meet the following criteria qualify for the service:

• Minimum of three years of practical experience in the trade to be tested.
• Approved two years training conducted in industry or in a training institution approved by the Director of Apprenticeship and Industrial Training.

• Applicants must pay BWP40.00 for practical examination and BWP15.00 for the theory examination.

Trade Test C assists with citizens of Botswana who would like to upgrade their skills through vocational training. After passing Trade Test C, applicants may progress to take Trade Test B. After the successful completion of Trade Test B, the applicant will be qualified to apply for apprenticeship training, which will help the applicant find jobs in the trade.

Trade Test C assists with citizens of Botswana who would like to upgrade their skills through vocational training with the MADIRELO TRAINING & TESTING CENTRE (MTTC).

• If the applicant passed both parts, they will receive a grade C (T+P) certificate
• If the applicant passed the practical test but failed the theory test, they will either receive a practical competency certificate – grade C (P) or be invited to attend skills upgrading courses in each subject not successfully completed
• At the end of the skills upgrading courses, they will be re-tested in the subjects and be issued a grade “C” (T) certificate if successful.
