Botswana - Apply for Registration of Hides and Skin Training

Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for the Hides and Skin Training programme, the applicant should visit the nearest District Animal Production Offices for the registration process. (Please view address details under office and location contact section below).
  2. Express your interest to the officer in charge of animal production and submit the relevant supporting document (listed under required documents section below) to be validated.
  3. Verbally provide all the required information as requested by the officer, to be registered and recorded into the Training program register.
  4. After registration, the animal production officer will issue the applicant with a registration card/letter and then verbally provide the applicant with information about the training i.e, when the training will commence, the location of the training, duration of the training, and other important details.




Required Documents

  • Certified copy of valid National Identity Card (Omang).
  • Certified copy of Passport (for a foreign worker).
  • Certified copy of Junior Certificate (JC).{The JC is a certificate/document that certifies completion of lower secondary education}.

Eligibility

Citizen and Non-citizen Livestock farmers, who would like to be trained should have the following:

  • Knowledge about livestock production.
  • Should own protective clothing

  • Courses offered at these Centres range from one to six weeks
