1. To apply for Plot Extension, the applicant should visit the Botswana Land Board or Sub Land Board offices within the area of the jurisdiction where the proposed land is situated.Use this link to view the Botswana Land Board or Sub Land Board offices address details Link
2. Submit the supporting documentation as listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page to be verified by the registrar/receiving officer at the Botswana Land Board or Sub Land Board offices with your jurisdiction.
3. The registrar/ receiving officer will then verify that all the necessary documentation and information have been provided and that the applications comply with the selection criteria, before advising the applicant to make payment of the prescribed survey fee.
4. The application file will be registered and the applicant will be issued with an acknowledgment letter as proof of submission of the application.
5. The application file will then be forwarded to the land board Committee for assessment and processing, which is within one month.
6. An authorized surveyor will visit the land in question and survey it and question the neighbouring communities surround the land/ plot, and write his finding.
7. Applicant should visit the Botswana Land Board or Sub Land Board offices where the application was filed after the processing period lapse to check the outcome.
8. If successful; an approval plot extension document/certificate will be printed on a paper with special security features and issued to the applicant against their identity document and the acknowledgment letter.
