1. The local authority is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and improvement of all other roads that are not motorways or major trunk roads (i.e. internal roads) Local Authority Contact Details.

In the case of emergency road maintenance is required e.g. replacement of grid and manhole cover, dangerous potholes, etc., which can cause serious injury or death, you can report maintenance, in person or by telephone to the local authority within that jurisdiction. When phoning, you will be asked for:
   • Your name, contact details.
   • Name of the road or landmark near the road.
   • Type of maintenance required.
3. In cases where a road situation does not require emergency road maintenance response, you should write a request letter/complaint letter to the Local Authorities.
4. Upon receipt of the report or complaint, the local authority will contact the contracted company, which will then responded according, by sending a technical team to the location to access the situation, identify and rectify the problem either by Preservation solutions,Asphalt bonding, asphalt and road sealing, and pothole repair.
