Botswana - Apply for Axle Load Control Exemption Certificate

Apply In-Person

  1. To obtain an Axle Load Control Exemption Certificate, applicants should visit the nearest Department of Roads Office or weighbridge depot for the filing process of the applicant (see contact/address details below).
  2. Collect the Axle load monitoring form-application form available at the nearest department of road office or at any weighbridges office located across the country or use this link to download, Link
  3. Submit the completed form, along with the attachments (mentioned below under the ‘Required Documents’ section) to the officer at the department responsible at the nearest Department of Roads Office or weighbridge depot office for approval.
  4. The official will then verify, if all the necessary information and documents have been provided, if everything is in order, you (the applicant) will be advised to pay as per the pricing schedule at the cash counter/office and obtain a payment receipt.
  5. The certificate will be drawn up, signed, and stamped by the authorized official and made available for withdrawal by the applicant against his/her identification document and the payment receipt.
