Apply In-Person :

1. To apply for Hostel License in Bihar, the applicant has to approach nearest municipal corporation in their area.
2. Get the application form from the executive officer in the municipal corporation.
3. Fill up the application form correctly without any mistakes.
4. Please make sure you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Submit the application form along with the required documents.
6. Upon submission the user will receive a transaction number to the registered mobile number.
7. You can download the license using the transaction number.

Apply Online - Bihar Obtain Hostel License or Permit Online with Images

1. To apply for Hostel License in Bihar, the applicant has to visit the Nagar Seva Portal of Bihar.
2. Use the following to apply for Hostel License Apply Online
3. Click on the "New Trade License" option.
4. If you are a registered user, select your Municipality enter your username, password and verification code.
5. If you are not a registered user, click on Register me option. You will get a pop up message. Click OK on it.
6. A new page opens with citizen registration form. Enter your details click submit button
7. After creating username and password, Click on new Trade license option and login with your details.
8. Now click on "Issuance of New Trade License" under license tab.
9. Fill up the application form correctly.
10. Submit the application along with the required documents.
11. Pay the applicable fees as per the instruction.
12. After submitting the application, you will receive a transaction number to the registered mobile number.
13. You can download the license from the portal, once the process is completed.

Apply through Centres:

1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
2. Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
4. The operator will process the application online.
5. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement.
6. This application will be processed internally. An inspection will be held to check the premises.
7. Once the inspection is over, these officials will submit their report to the respective superior authority to decide the issue of the license to the applicant.
8. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any, will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
9. If approved, the license will be hand delivered or sent through post to the address mentioned while applying or issued in a stipulated period of time.
