1. Renew your vehicle's registration certificate by presenting it (original copy) to the licensing authority (any Regional or Base Office).
2. Your vehicle must undergo a test to determine its road worthiness. The fitness test will ensure that the car is safe to drive and is in good condition to run with out any problem for both the driver and its passengers and other road users.
3. Pay the renewal fee. If you are applying for renewal beyond the expiry date, you will also need to pay the penalty charge.

If the vehicle is undergoing a repair: You must inform the authority in writing that the vehicle was taken for repair and surrender the registration certificate to the authority. After the repair ,the owner must furnish an authentic evidence or a certificate from the concerned workshop after the repairs have been completed, showing the duration of repair. You may now proceed to the nearest RSTA office to renew your documents.
