The Voter Photo Identity Card (VPIC) is an important document provided for the purpose of exercising the right to vote in an election in Bhutan

It is the one and only valid document for identification of voters at the polling stations on polling day. Therefore, all voters are reminded that they must have the VPIC to be allowed to vote on Poll Day while they are also advised to carry with them the Citizenship Identity Card.In the event of any dispute related to the VPIC, the Citizenship Identity Card will form the basis for taking decision by the Presiding Officer.
