Apply In Person/ By Post:

1. To apply for a Phytosanitary certificate, Applicant has to approach the Bhutan Agriculture and Food Regulatory Authority (BAFRA). Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section
2. You have to submit an Application form to BAFRA.
3. Application form can be found on the following link: Link
4. Download the application form and fill up your details.
5. Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the “Required documents” section of this page.
6. The applicant has to submit the duly filled application form and Documents to BAFRA in Person or by Post. Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section
7. After the application form is processed, The Inspector visits the premises and inspects the shipment destined for export.
8. Once the inspection yields satisfactory results, the inspector issues a Phytosanitary Certificate.

The Certificate is valid per shipment or consignment. A new shipment requires a new Phytosanitary Certificate
