Bermuda - Apply for a Sunday Permit


Procedure

  1. To apply for a Sunday Permit, come in to the main Transport Control Department (TCD) location, pick a number, and talk to a Registration clerk.
  2. Inform the clerk that you are applying for a Sunday permit .
  3. You will be required to pay a small fee, once you have paid the fee, ask for the receipt.
  4. Take your receipt to the TCD Traffic Officer who will record your information and present you with your Sunday permit after you've presented your valid insurance, and have informed them of your situation.

  • Cycle Inspections are only carried out at the North Street Testing location
  • As of April 6th 2009, motor vehicle safety and emissions inspections will be undertaken by the Bermuda Emissions Control Ltd. (BECL)

  • One Day Sunday Permit : $105.00
  • One Year Sunday Permit for Light Trucks : $211.70
  • One Year Sunday Permit for Intermediate Trucks : $284.70
  • One Year Sunday Permit for Heavy-A Trucks : $379.60
  • One Year Sunday Permit for Heavy-B Trucks : $452.60
  • One Year Sunday Permit for Heavy-C Trucks : $547.50


Note: TCD accepts cash, Master Card, and Visa. There are no ATMs at any of the TCD Locations.

Validity

A Sunday permit may be issued with a validity of one year.
