Apply In-Person:

1. Prepare all the required documents and obtain the Construction permit and operating application form via the government of Bermuda Website: Website or through this link: Application Form
2. Fill the application form accordingly and attach all the necessary requirements to it.
3. Visit the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and submit your application for verification and processing.
4. Pay the application fee at the clerk’s office or by Cheques to the Accountant General.
5. The application will be advertised in an official gazette for any objection and a chance for counter-argument. The Department may also contact you for additional information.
6. At the end of the advertising period and the department is satisfied with the application, your permit will be processed and issued to you.
   

Note:

• If the application is made by a proxy, it must be accompanied by a letter signed by the owner confirming that he/she is aware of the application being made.
• Applications can also be sent by mail through the contacts provided in “offices and locations” section below however it is highly recommended that you apply in person
