How to Apply:
In person
All members of the public are encouraged to report to the police any crime or incident. If you have been the victim of crime, have witnessed a crime or would simply like to tell police that a crime has been committed there are several ways to do it by;

• Dial 166 (emergency number).
• Contact the nearest police station in person or police officer on patrol.
• Dial the landline for your local police station.

Note:
166 can be used to report crime anonymously at your request, and your identity will not be disclosed.

Online process:

1. Visit the police Republicaine Repulique du Benin website portal Link then click on Write us.
2. You will then be redirected to the next page select either theft/loss deration or others, as to your specific claims (report).
3. Fill in all the required fields i.e. subject, your name, email address, place of theft etc.
4. Then click on send.
5. Upon receiving the report form by the police department it will be verified and you will be contacted immediately and given further institution.

• Any documentation or item relating to the alleged report which can be beneficial in the investigation process

e.g. The state office holds birth records since january 1908.

• Locality (i.e. plot number, street, H/No or any nearest structure).
• Identity of the suspect or physical description of the suspect.
• Any weapons used.
• Names witnesses where possible.
