Benin - Payment of Electricity Bills


Procedure

How to apply:
Customer’s subscribers with BEDC Electricity Plc (BEDC) upon receiving monthly electricity bill for service rendered by the company are required to pay for their electricity bill in time through the following methods of payment.

POST PAID
In person process
Over the counter
Cash and card payments can be made at BEDC Customer Service Centers across the country.

Direct Debit payments
Customers can also make direct debit arrangements at the customer services centers. Customers are expected to provide their identification, Bank Debit cards and Bank statement for proof of account number.

Online process

  1. Visit the BEDC Electricity Plc (BEDC) website portal http://bedcpower.com/ and select payment option on the drop box select either post-paid.
  2. You will be redirected to the next page, please enter your email/mobile number, your account number and under select an option drop box select Post-paid, on the next box enter the specific amount indicated on the electricity invoice and then press continue.
  3. Then make the payment.

PRE-PAID:
Online process

  1. Visit the BEDC Electricity Plc (BEDC) website portal http://bedcpower.com/ and select payment option on the drop box select either pre-paid.
  2. You will be redirected to the next page, please enter your email/mobile number, your meter number then click on continue.
  3. Enter amount you wish to purchase the token and then proceed.

OR
Download the quickteller App on your phone and proceed to buy the tokens.

  • To avoid power disconnection in one’s premise or business residence by the Benin Power Corporation (BEDC), customers are advised to pay their electricity bill on time.
