Benin - Apply for UNHCR Travel Diary

How to apply:

  1. Eligible applicants should visit the UNHCR Representative office in Benin with all the supporting documents (listed below) and express their interest.
  2. Submit the required document to the attending official, who will then forward them to the Permanent Secretary of the National Commission for Assistance to Refugees (CNAR).
  3. The Permanent Secretary of the National Commission for Assistance to Refugees (CNAR) will then write a request on your behalf addressed to the to the Director of Emigration and Immigration.
  4. If the request is approved, you will be notified of the outcome and you will be required visit the immigration office near you and obtain the application form.
  5. Submit the completed form and the supporting document (listed below) to the attending official for verification and processing.
  6. Pay the application fees.
  7. Your biometric data (fingerprint, photo) will then be taken by an official at the office and you will be notified on when you should re-visit the office to collect the passport.
  8. You will then be issued with a receipt/acknowledgement slip which you should carry with you when collecting the passport.

  • Two colour passport photos with a white background.
