Where to Park





Required Documents

Common local resident who has a limited need of parking:

  • ID card or request form with the ID card of the main driver of the vehicle in case this one does not make the demand himself
  • registration certificate of the vehicle with the DIV (Road Traffic Direction)
  • For a personal leasing vehicle:
    • leasing contract
  • For a lent vehicle:
    • ID card and a rent declaration of the lender


People having a second residence in the City of Brussels:

  • ID card or a request form with the ID card of the main driver of the vehicle in case this one does not make the demand himself
  • registration certificate of the vehicle with the DIV (Road Traffic Direction)
  • lease contract or proof of payment of the 'second residence' tax


The occasional visitor, professionals excluded, of a physical person with residence in the City of Brussels:

  • ID card or request form with the ID card of the main driver of the vehicle in case this one does not make the demand himself
  • registration certificate of the vehicle with the DIV (Road Traffic Direction)
  • ID card as well as a mandate of the visited physical person, if this person does not make the demand personally

Eligibility

A household which possesses already 2 local resident cards (maximal number of local resident cards per household) can no longer apply for a temporary card.




Fees

This virtual card can be obtained for 3 euro a day and is limited to 63 days per year, to be taken in 1 or several times. The card is a virtual card: the control is done via license plate recognition.




Validity

This card is only valid for the sector in which the person who makes the demand has his residence or the sector in which the second residence is located.

This card cannot be used in places reserved for the local residents and for shared cars, neither in red or orange zone nor in the places for which a special road marking is of application and where there's no exception for this type of municipal parking card.
