Step – 1
Apply online

1. To Apply for a Machine Readable Passport, the applicant has to make the application online via link
2. The applicant has to read the following guidelines and click the “CONTINUE TO ONLINE ENROLLMENT”
3. The applicant has to enter all the necessary details and click the “Save &Next” button.
4. Also, upload all the documents which are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. After completing all the details the applicant has to click the “Submit” button.
6. On successful completion of the first page, the applicant will receive an email containing the Application ID and Password. Please preserve the Application ID and Password carefully for future print/view/modification of an application.
7. To submit the application, click the “submit” button. The applicant will also receive an “Online Application Form” in pdf format by clicking the “Download” button.
8. The applicant has to report to the Passport Office for providing biometric data along with a printed version of the Online Application form.

Step – 2
Biometric process

1. The applicant has to visit the office on the scheduled date to complete the biometric process.
2. Pay the processing fee for the passport.
3. After submission, the system will assign the applicant’s authorized Regional Passport Office. The applicant's application shall remain valid for 15 days from the date of submission.
4. The applicant record will be removed automatically by the system after 15 days.

Step – 3
Status check

1. To check the status of the application, the applicant has to use the following link
2. Enter the employment ID and date of birth with the captcha and click the “SEARCH” button.

• Passport size photographs
• Attested photocopy of National Identity Card or Birth Registration Certificate
• Fee receipt
• Permanent Residence Card/ Job ID card/ Student ID card/any photo ID etc. in support of applicant’s residence in the foreign country.
• Any other documents (if required)

• The applicant must have either a Bangladeshi NID card or a Birth Registration Certificate (BRC) having a 17-digit number.

• The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
