1. The Applicant has to submit an application to the Department of Civil Aviation for renewal of a Certificate of Airworthiness 60 days prior to the expiration date of validity of Certificate.

3. The Applicant can download the Form from the following Form Link.
4. Complete the application form with all details.
5. After filling all the details submit the Application Form along with the supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section to the Department of Civil Aviation.
6. The inspector will inspect the records and complete Form AIR 09 and a copy is passed to the operator’s Airworthiness Coordinator on the action required to close the findings.
7. Once the Airworthiness Inspector is satisfied that all Findings recorded on Form AIR 09 have been corrected, he will complete Form AIR 01 to recommend the Certificate of Airworthiness.
8. Once approved, the applicant will be informed through the proper communication channel.
9. The applicant should then visit the office to collect the permit.

The applicant has to be a registered owner of a Bahamian registered aircraft / an agent of the owner.

The Minister may prescribe fees for the renewal of the certificate, after undergoing of any examination, test, inspection or investigation.

The Aircraft Airworthiness Certificate is valid for a period of 12 months from the date of issue.
