Apply In-Person

1. To Register a trademark, the applicant has to submit an application Forms and corresponding Fees, to the Intellectual Properties Section of the Registrar General’s Department.
2. The application form can be obtained from the Intellectual Properties Section of the Registrar General's Department.
3. Fill the required details in the application forms and submit applications along with the fees.
4. The Whole process from the submission of application to obtaining the Certificate of Registration could take up to 18 months.
5. In the case of applicants wishing to claim priority having their trademark registered in another country, the trademark must be filed within a six-month period.

There is no eligibility criteria for this service.

The cost of filing a trademark application is determined by the size of the logo as well as the number of classes in which the applicant wants the trademark to be registered.
