There are no fees for this service.

The timeframe varies depending on the location where the service is offered:
• Five minutes at the General Post Office in Nassau
• Two to three working days at the Sub Offices
• Three to four weeks at the Family Island Sub Offices

There are no deadlines associated with this service.
All citizens and businesses can open a savings account at the Bahamas Post Offices. The Savings bank at the Post Office is a thrift bank as opposed to a Commercial Bank.
