Apply In-Person

1. To obtain a Nursing Licensing, the applicant has to submit an application Form along with the supporting documents as mentioned in the Required Documents section in the procedure and corresponding Fees, to the Nursing Council.
2. The Applicant can download the Form from the below link: Form Link.
3. Fill the required details in the application form and send the application and supporting documents along with the fee payment to the Nursing Council.
4. After receipt of the application, the Council will place a notice in at least 2 newspapers published and circulated in The Bahamas and twice in the Gazette.
5. A public hearing of the application is called and the Council decides to approve or reject the application within 30 days.

• Methods of evaluating the quality of care received by a patient or client of the agency.
• Policies for ensuring the confidentiality of records.

Anyone interested in establishing a nursing facility may apply.

• The fees for obtaining a Licence is BS$300.00.
• For a duplicate licence in the event that your license is lost, damaged or destroyed the fees is BS$100.00.
  

The licence is valid for one year and afterward must be renewed.

Those wishing to open a nursing agency or one that seeks the services of nurses, midwives, or clinical nurses must first get a licence from the Nursing Council.
