Apply In-Person

1. To obtain a Duplicate Driver’s Licence, the applicant has to submit an application Form along with the supporting documents and corresponding Fees, to the Driver’s Licence Unit at the Road Traffic Department.
2. The Applicant can download the Form from the below link: Form Link.
3. Fill the required details in the application form.
4.  The Applicants must obtain a police report from their neighbourhood police station.
5. The applicant must then complete a research information (Application Form) form.
6. The applicant should then submit the completed information form and a police report to the Driver’s Licence Unit at the Road Traffic Department.
7. The Driver’s Licence Clerk will research the driver’s licence.
8. Following the research process, the Research Clerk will submit the applicant’s records to the Driver’s Licence Clerk for duplication (if valid) or for renewal.
9. The duplicate licence will be provided on the same day.

• Police Report.
• Non-Bahamians should present their passport and documents from The Bahamas Immigration Department permitting them to reside (this includes work permit, residency spouse certificate or residency to reside.
