Apply In-Person

1. The Applicant has to submit an application form to the Department of Agriculture.
2. Visit the following link for Contact Details Contact Link.
3. The Applicant can download the Form from the following Form Link.
4. Complete the application form with all details.
5. After filling in all the details submit the Application Form along with the supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section to the Department of Agriculture.
6. The Department of Agriculture verifies the information on the form.
7. The Director of Agriculture receives the Farm Report and processes the Registration Certificate.
8. To authenticate the document, prepare a Registration Certificate that is signed, dated, and sealed with a government official seal.
9. The date is written by the farmer. To conduct further business as a bonafide farmer, he or she must get a Registration Certificate and a Registration Certificate card.

3. Click on “Submit” tab to complete the registration.
4. The supporting documents sent by email to the following email id minagriculturemarine@bahamas.gov.bs.
5. The Department of Agriculture verifies the information on the form.
6. The Director of Agriculture receives the Farm Report and processes the Registration Certificate.

• The applicant must be a farmer who owns farmland (agricultural crown land, private, commonage, etc.).
• Non-Bahamian farmers must obtain permission to work for a living.

No processing fee for this service.

The service approval is only valid for the budget term. (Certificates expire on June 30th.)
