Apply In-Person

1. To apply for a Marriage Officer's Licence, the applicant has to submit an application along with the supporting documents to the Marriage Registry of the Registrar General’s Department.
2. The Applicant can download the Form from the below link: Form Link.
3. Complete the application form with all details.
4. After filling all the details submit the Application Form along with the supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section to the Marriage Registry of the Registrar General’s Department.
5. The applicant will be contacted within two or three days about the status of the application and the granting of the licence.

Applicant who do not possess a degree in theology are required to study a prepared ‘handout’ on the marriage act, and to write an examination, obtaining a passing mark of not less than sixty percent (60%).
