Apply In-Person

1. The Applicant must write a letter of request addressed to the Director of Immigration.
2. Visit the following link for Contact Details Link.
3. The Applicant can collect the Form from the Department of Immigration.
4. Complete the application form with all details.
5. After filling in all the details submit the Application Form along with the supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section to the Department of Immigration along with the corresponding Fee and requesting letter.
6. Upon receipt of the documents, the Department of Immigration will examine their completeness and validity, and if satisfied, will issue a “Home Owners Resident Card” to the applicant.

• Confirmation of Bahamian property ownership (Deed of Conveyance, as recorded at the Registrar General’s Department).
• Documentary proof of payment of current real property tax.
• A copy of the bio-data page of the applicant's passport.
• Two passport-sized identical colour photographs of the applicant, with the applicant’s name printed on the reverse side.
• Original copy of Medical Certificate (no more than 30 days old) and Police certificate (no more than six months old).

Any non-Bahamian who owns property in the Bahamas should be eligible.

• A non-refundable processing fee of BS$100.00 applies to each applicant.
• Applicants must pay an extra BS$500.00 for the issuing of the Home Owner's Resident Card once they have been accepted.
