Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for Summer Satellite Grant, the interested party must make requests to the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture. Link to Contact.
2. Application for Summer Satellite Grant may be collected at the Department of Sports.
3. The applicant must fill out and submit the application form, along with supporting documents, as listed in the “Required Documents” section below, to the Department of Sports.
4. The Department of Sports will then acknowledge receipt of the application for a sport grant.
5. The Ministry will review each application to ensure that the applicant is compliant with the sporting policy.
6. Applicants will be informed of approval or non-approval in writing.
7. Once the grant is approved, the applicant must go to the Department of Sports, with any form of national photo ID, to collect the cheque.

Note: Applications submitted without the required documents will not be processed.

Interested parties must be Bahamian residents or citizens in order to apply for Summer Satellite Grant.

There are no associated fees.

The grant is offered to camping programmes during the summer and it is valid for one summer only.

Applications are processed within a period of one month.

All requests for Summer Satellite Grant must be submitted by June 30th annually.

A list which displays the kind of information which is required to complete the procedure.
e.g.
1. Date of Birth.
2. City or Country of Birth.

Interested parties must make requests to the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture and apply for this grant to assist in deferring the cost of the camp.

The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, through its Department of Sports, gives annual grants to persons and organisations who offer camping programmes during the summer to children in the community.
