1. The Applicant has to submit an application form to the Department of Labour.
2. The Applicant can collect the application form at the Department of Labour office on your island. Please call (242) 302-2550 thru to 302-2562 for more information.

5. The Applicant should mention his name and ‘Apprenticeship Application’ on the envelope.
6. The Applicant from the Family Islands can collect the application form from the Department of Labour office on their island. Contact (242) 302-2550- 302-2562 for more information.
7. The Applicant can download the Form from the following Form Link.
8. Complete the application form with all details.
9. After filling in all the details submit the Application Form along with the supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section to the Department of Labour.
10. The Applicant should also email the copy of the documents to apprenticeships@bahamas.gov.bs with the subject line “Apprenticeship Application”.

Apply Online

1. The Applicant can click the below link to apply online. Online Applicant Link.
2. Complete the application form.
3. At the end of the page click “Save” to save.
4. Save the form as a PDF file with the name of the applicant in the file name, for example, “APPLICATION FOR AN APPRENTICESHIP WITH JOHN SMITH”.
5. With the subject line ‘Apprenticeship Application,' email the completed form and a copy of the needed documents to apprenticeships@bahamas.gov.bs.

The below documents are required to apply for the Bahamas Apprenticeship Program’s Apprenticeship Program or Pre-Apprenticeship Program:

Bahamians must provide one of the following:

• Valid E-Passport
• Voter’s card/affidavit
• Birth certificate
• Certificate of Identity

Non-Bahamians must provide one of the following:

• Belonger’s permit from the Department of Immigration
• Proof of permanent residency

All applicants must provide:

• National Insurance Board (NIB) smart card
• Primary, junior high or senior high school transcripts
• Current police record

Applications for the Apprenticeship Program and for the Pre-Apprenticeship Program are received on a rolling basis. Application deadlines and cohort start dates vary.
