Bahamas - Apply for Marine Mammal Export Licence

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for Marine Mammal Export License in person, the applicant has to visit theDepartment of Marine Resources in his/her state of residence.
  2. The address and contact details can be found in the “Office Location & Contacts” Section.
  3. Visit the office and get an application form for Marine Mammal Export License from the relevant department.Or it can be downloaded from here:Link
  4. Complete the application form with appropriate information under relevant sections. Attest it with your signature once completed.
  5. After filling the application form, make sure that you have attached all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
  6. Then, submit it in person to the relevant authority at the office.
  7. Pay the required fee.
  8. Permit will then be issued to the applicant within 5 days.

  • Veterinary Health certification.
  • Import approval from the destination country.
  • Export permit under the Animal Health Act.

Eligibility

Eligibility criteria for going through this procedure are to have

  • Proof that the marine mammal can be legally imported into the destination country.
  • Proof that the marine mammal is in good health.
  • Proof that export of the marine mammal is approved under the Animal Health Act.

The applicable fee is BS$100.00

Need for the Document
