Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for Licence to Import Goods (Meat)in person, the applicant has to visit the Department of Agriculture in his/her state of residence.
2. The address and contact details can be found in the “Office Location & Contacts” section.
3. Visit the office and get an application form for License to Import Good (Meat) from the relevant authority. Or you can download it here. here
4. Applicant fills out an Application to Import Goods Form
5. Applicant pays the relevant fees.
6. After approval, the applicant is issued with the Permit.
7. Applicant submits the Permit to an Agricultural Officer and Customs Officer at the port of entry.

For commercial traders, a valid Business Licence is required.

• For persons outside of The Bahamas, money order or draft can be sent via Fedex, UPS or any courier service.
• Personal cheques will not be accepted.

Expiry date will be mentioned in the certificate.

• This Licence must be presented to the Agricultural Inspector and Bahamas Customs at the Port of Entry.
• This form must be completed in quadruple (a set of four (4)).
• The Phytosanitary Certificate/Food Safety Certificate of the country of export must accompany the shipment.
