Apply In-Person

1. The Applicant has to submit an application to the Department of Marine Resources, The Bahamas. Visit the following link for Family Island Contact Details: Link.
2. The Applicant can download the Form from the following Form Link.
3. Complete the application form with all the required details.
4. After filling, all the details submit the Application Form along with the supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section to the Department of Marine Resources.
5. The officials will verify the documents and approve it if they deem it satisfactory.
6. The applicant will receive a Certificate of Registration Card or 10% Duty Waiver Form. This should be presented at the time of clearance of the goods to The Bahamas Customs Office.

For Fishing Vessels

• Copy of Bill of Sale.
• Copy of a valid business licence.
• Proof of payment for vessel (affidavit, money order, cheque, wire transfer, etc.)
