Apply In-Person

1. The Applicant has to submit an application in Form to the Births Section of the Registrar General’s Department Link to Contact
2. The Applicant can obtain the form from the office.
3. Complete the application form with all details.
4. After filling all the details, submit the Application Form along with the supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section to Births Section of the Registrar General’s Department.
5. The Clerk at the Registrar General’s Department will check the births registry database for the person’s information (Name, DOB, Parent’s name, Island of Birth). If the information is found on the register it is printed on the certificate.
6. The certificate is signed by a Senior Officer or the Registrar.
7. The Applicant will then receive a certified copy of the birth certificate.

Anybody who requires a certified copy of birth certificate can apply.

A fee of BS$10.00 is charged for this service.

The certificate is valid forever.
