Apply In-Person

1. Applicants wishing to apply for Cemetery Plot must apply to the Central Services Section of the Ministry of Works & Urban Development. The address can be found in the “Office Location & Contacts” section. Or click on this link to view contacts: Link
2. Application for Cemetery Plot may be collected at the Central Services Section or can be downloaded here.
3. Fill out the Cemetery Plot form. Refer “Required Information” section for details.
4. The fee must be paid when the form is submitted at the Central Services Section of the Ministry of Works & Urban Development.
5. An officer will allocate a plot in a public graveyard.
   

• A valid I.D. card, driver’s licence, passport.
• A Death Certificate of the deceased.

Any member of the public can apply for a Cemetery Plot.

The plot cost is BS$62.00 each.

Explain the time until which the certificate/document is valid.
e.g. Birth Certificate Valid Forever

Application for a Cemetery Plot

Please attach sample completed documents that would help other people.

A plot is allotted within a day or two of the request once there is space in the burial ground.

Cemetery Plots are provided for members of the public who do not have a family plot to bury their relatives.

Five (5) plots can be purchased per family.
