1. Submit a completed application form along with all other required documents and proof that all applicable fees were paid.
2. The Licensing Officer will verify all documents submitted before issuing a duplicate license.

Lost license found: If previously issued driving license of the person getting new one is found, that license is considered invalid and must be sent to REP.

You may obtain a replacement/duplicate driving license in these following conditions:

• expiry date of its validity
• change of surname, name or patronymic of owner of driving license;
• determination of inexactitude in typing of driving license;
• the current license being invalid
• loss of driving license; and
• replacement of driving licenses as a result of approval of new sample of driving license

A fee is not collected for applications for a duplicate license due to typing errors on the current license. A fine is imposed for the replacement of driving license due to loss.

Validity period of driving licenses:

• License holders below 60 years old: 10 years
• For people aged 60 and over - the remaining period until they are 70 years of age
• License holders aged 70 and above: 2 years
• For persons enduring diseases listed by certain executive body of the Republic of Azerbaijan: period indicated in medical certificate submitted, but no more than 2 years.

In case of lost driver's license, a new one is issued according to the respective remarks of STP services of the region or city (in which the bearer is registered) and written application must be submitted.

All licenses issued bears the insignia within an ellipsis symbol distinguishing the international traffic of the Azerbaijan Republic i.e. AZ, and displays the following information:

• surname of owner;
• name and patronymic of owner;
• date and place of birth of owner;
• place of residence of owner;
• name of body issued driving license;
• date and place of issuance of driving license;
• date of expiration of driving license;
• driving license number;
• signature of official, stamp or seal of body who issued the driving license;
• blood type and signature of owner;
• other information
