Note:The name change of a minor child must be requested by a parent. Minor individuals, whether legitimate or illegitimate, have the right to change their first or family name.

Reasons for changing name

• The minors / the minor wants the family name of his / her parents or get a parent
• The minors / the minor wants the family name of a person obtained from the he / she his / her family name derived has and whose family name has been changed or the change has been applied

10 to 14-year-olds have the right to be heard . The name change of over 14-year-old people need their personal consent. Both rules also apply for a legitimation of illegitimate children by a subsequent marriage.
