1. To Apply for Child Care License, the applicant has to approach the Department of Education link
2. Review the licensing requirements and guidelines provided by the licensing authority. These requirements typically cover areas such as staff qualifications, health and safety standards, facility requirements, programming, and policies.
3. Create a comprehensive business plan that outlines your proposed child care service. This should include details such as the service's location, capacity, staffing plan, programming, and how you will meet the regulatory requirements.
4. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
5. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
6. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
8. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
9. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
10. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
11. Then the application will be processed further.
12. The licensing authority will conduct an inspection of your child care facility to assess its suitability and compliance with regulations. They may also review your policies, procedures, and documentation.
13. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
14. Once your application has been reviewed and assessed, the licensing authority will make a decision on granting the Child Care License. If approved, you will receive your license, which allows you to legally operate a child care service.
15. This entire process can be completed within 2 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
