Apply In Person:
- To Get an Affidavit for Divorce, the applicant has to approach the United States Court link

- The applicant has to visit the court office to give the request letter.
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. (if required)
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted).
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
- Submit all the essential documents along with the completed application form to the applicant's lawyer's office.
- The fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- Then the application will be processed further. The officer will check the documents and appeal the request in the court's office.
- The applicant has to visit the court with the lawyer on the date of the hearing.
- This entire process can be completed within 2 – 3 months or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
