Apply In-Person:

1. The document writer license is issued by the District Registrar of the Registration District concerned. Contact Link
2. The application form for the Document writer’s license should be obtained from your nearest Registrar office.
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The filled application should be submitted to the Licensing authority in person with necessary fee receipt.
5. The license is issued based on the requirement in each registration district and sub-district.
6. The licensing authority decide the required number of document writer in the concerned district.
7. The registrar can accept or reject the application after checking the eligibility criteria and will intimate the candidate.
8. If the applicant is eligible, then the document writers license will be approved and issued to the applicant by the District Registrar of the Registration District concerned.

The documents required for the document writer application are:

• Educational Qualification Certificate.
• An attested copy of Character Certificate.
• Recommendation Letter
• Occupational Proof (If any)

To obtain the document writer license,

• The individual should not be less than 18 years of age.
• The individual should be of good character.
• The individual should write documents legibly.

Explain the fees structure which is required for obtaining the certificate/document.

• The license is valid till 31st December of ever year, irrespective of the issued date.
• The license has to be renewed by applying for renewal.
• The license renewal application has to be made 15 days before the expiry date.

• Fathers Name
• Address
• Age/ Date of Birth
• Nationality
• Education Qualification
• Nature of License
• Character Certificate
• Place/Date
• Signature

• With the document writer license, the applicant can write legal document to the public.

• The document writer’s license is not necessary for the Advocates, or Practicing Pleader in any Court.
• The exam is conducted based on the want of document writer in the district.
