Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for the transfer of arms (gun) license approach the Deputy Commissioner office of your district.
2. Download form- A of from the below link : Form A
3. Make sure that you have all the proper documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section below.

5. Refer the Deputy Commissioner Office location mentioned in the “Office location & contacts” section below.
6. After the application form is processed, an enquiry officer will make a thorough verification regarding your proof which you have submitted along with the form, criminal records if any and some general investigations.
7. You will be receiving the acknowledgment slip after the successful verification.

For Transfer Case
When the original licensee is alive:

During his life-time, the licensee may transfer the arms license to legal heirs by making an application in plain paper.

The person to whom license is to be transferred shall apply in Form “A”.

When the original licensee has expired:

Application shall be made in Form “A”.

No objection from the legal heirs, in the form of an affidavit sworn before a magistrate.

Two Passport size photographs.

• Date of Birth and age.
• Address details.
• Occupation and designation of office held any
• Signature/thumb impression.
• Other particulars of the applicant like Convicted – if so, (the officers),the sentence and ate of sentence

• Area within which applicant wishes to carry arms

• Details about the previous license if any
