Arunachal Pradesh - Obtain Certificate for Relatives of Deceased Person

Following are the ways through which you can obtain a certificate for relatives of deceased person in Arunachal Pradesh.

Apply In-Person:

  1. To obtain the certificate for relatives of deceased person approach the concerned tehsildar office of your district. Each ditrict’s tehsildar office location is provided in the official website of that concerned district. For tawang district visit TAWANG Official website
  2. In the official website of each district, click “about dsitrict” and select “who’s who” to know about office location and contacts.
  3. Application in a plain paper attached with all the required documents should be submitted to the tehsildar office.
  4. Make sure that you have all the proper documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section below.

  6. Refer the tehsildar office location mentioned in the “Office location & contacts” section below.
  7. After verifying all the documents, the tehsildar will provide the certificate.



Required Documents

The following documents are needed to obtain death certificate

  • Filled application form
  • Ration card
  • Aadhaar card
  • Passport size photograph of deceased
  • Proof of death of the person for whom the certificate is required

If the death is being registered after one year of its occurrence then an affidavit must be included to the required documents to obtain the death certificate.


Required Information

Following are the required information to apply for the death certificate

  • Date of death
  • Sex of the deceased
  • Name of the deceased
  • Name of father
  • Name of mother
  • Age of the deceased
  • Permanent address
  • Statistical information like name of city, district, village etc
