Apply via Agent
The Revenue Department of the respective state is the concerned department for the issuance of the agricultural income certificate. The thasildhar / designated authority are the competent authority to sanction the certificate.
Apply In-Person
- To apply for the agricultural income certificate, the applicant has to approach the concerned Circle Officer’s office of the respective area revenue department / thasildhar office whichever is applicable to apply.

- Go to the respective office.
- Collect the application form or write on a plain A4 sheet as advised.

- Complete the application form. Attach the entire required document as per our “required document” section and submit it to the designated authority.
- Authorities after checking the attached documents and submitted application will make entries and provide you record number for reference.
- This application will be processed internally. The concerned circle officer / Village Administrative Officer (VAO) and Revenue Inspector (RI) will do the ground level verification followed by scrutiny of the documents and other details provided by the applicant.
- Once the verification is over, these officials will submit their report to the respective superior authority to decide the issue of Certificate to the applicant.
- The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
- If approved, the certificate will be hand delivered or sent through post to the address mentioned while applying or issued as per applicable norms.
- Note:
- Applicant has to bring original documents while applying for verification and scanning if required.
- Without cross signature on photograph and signature on undertaking the application will be rejected
Apply through Centres
- To apply through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
- Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- An application form can be obtained through the kiosk operator upon visiting the centre.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
- Submit the application form with ”Required Documents” to the office.
- It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
- The operator will process the application online.
- On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement.

Required Documents
- Application Form
- Address proof (Ration card / Passport / Aadhar card / Driving license / Identity card issued by any institution / Copy of the electricity bill or telephone bill showing residential address / Any document or communication issued by any authority of Central Government, State Government or local bodies showing residential address / Any other documentary evidence in support of his address given in the declaration.)
- Identity proof (Ration card / Passport / Aadhar card / Driving license)
- Land revenue receipt (on verification by concerned authority in case of farmer).
- Any Other documents (Any voter list, Gaon Burrah Certificate, Land Revenue Payment Receipt, etc.).
- Up to date land revenue paid receipt for 3(three) years or as applicable.
- Ration card
- Attested copy of birth certificate.
- Aadhaar card

Eligibility
- The citizen who needs the agricultural income certificate should be a permanent resident of the respective state while applying.
Fees
- Please pay the fees or charges as applicable at the time of applying as per authority’s advice.
- During online payment fee details will be displayed.
Validity
- Valid up to a period of 6 months from date of issue or as specified on the certificate.

Need for the Document
- There are certain incomes which do not add to the taxable income.
- One such income is agricultural income for which an agricultural income certificate is required.
- Agriculture Income Certificate is helpful for obtaining loans in banks.
Following are some examples of agricultural income.
- Income out of processing and selling of farm produce.
- Rent received for an agricultural land.
- Income derived from the sale of seeds replanted trees.
- Income earned from a farmhouse that may be used as a storehouse or a dwelling unit, which is near to the horticultural land.
