Apply via Agent
To provide financial support to the poor widows of India, the widow pension scheme was introduced in India. A widow whose household is below the poverty line is eligible to get the benefits of pension scheme.
Apply In-Person for Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS):
- To apply for Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme,you have to visit the nearest Gram Panchayat /Municipality.

- Get the application form from the Deputy Director (ICDS), District ICDS Cell, Tezu, Lohit District or write it on an A4 sheet.
- Fill the application form with all the necessary details.
- Attach all the Required Documents as mentioned in the Required Documents section along with the form and submit it to the concerned officer in the Gram Panchayat /Municipality.
- Pay the appropriate fees as per authorities quote.
- You will be given an acknowledgement keep it safe for future reference.
- Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
- If sanctioned, beneficiary shall be issued a Pension Passbook.

- Xerox Copy of Birth Certificate minimum 40 yrs to 59 yrs. (Attested by gazetted Officer )
- Xerox Copy of PRC Certificate. (Attested by gazetted Officer)
- Xerox copy of BPL Certificate/Income Certificate. (Attested by gazetted Officer)
- Aadhar Card
- Bank A/c No.
- Xerox copy of Death Certificate. (Attested by gazetted Officer)
- Pass port size photographs – 3 nos
