Apply In-Person

1. To apply for a Phytosanitary certificate, Applicant has to submit a request to the Food Safety Inspection Body
2. Fill up your details and request an Application form for Phytosanitary Certificate.
3. Once the request is processed, The applicant has to download the application form.
4. Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the “Required documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to submit the duly filled application form and the documents to the Food Safety Inspection Body by Email or In Person. Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section
6. After the application form and documents are submitted and reviewed. The FSIB registers the application.
7. The FSIB inspector visits the Applicant’s premises and inspects the shipment destined for export.
8. Once the inspection yields satisfactory results, the inspector issues a Phytosanitary Certificate.

• The exporter has to be registered with the FSIB

• No fee is charged to obtain the Phytosanitary Certificate
  

• The Certificate is valid per shipment or consignment. A new shipment requires a new Phytosanitary Certificate
