Antigua and Barbuda - Apply for Phytosanitary Certificate


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for a Phytosanitary certificate, Applicant shall approach the Plant Protection Unit. Contact details are listed below under the “Office locations and contacts” section.
  2. You have to submit an application request to the Plant Protection Unit.
  3. The application request shall include the information listed below under the “Required information” section.
  4. Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the “Required documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant shall send the application requestand Documents to thePlant Protection Unit by email.
  6. After the application request is processed and accepted, theOfficer in Charge schedules an inspection. Theassigned Inspectorinspectsthe shipment.
  7. Once the inspection yields satisfactory results, the applicant has to pay the prescribed fee and collect the Phytosanitary Certificate.

Validity

  • The Certificate is valid per shipment or consignment. A new shipment requires a new Phytosanitary Certificate

  • The process may take up to 2-5 days.
