A learner's permit is valid for 6 months.

If you have never applied for a license before you may be asked to apply for a Learner's permit first. This document will allow you to practice driving (accompanied) before you take the practical driving test.

Once issued your learner's permit will be valid for 6 months. If you have been practicing driving for the past 6 months and haven't obtain a regular driver's license yet, you will need to renew your learner's permit. Following is a procedure on how you can apply for renewal.
