• Individuals who are of military service age must present their military service registration card when applying for a passport, although they need not have served in the military to receive their passport
• Applicants are fingerprinted when they apply for and when they receive their passport
• Because of the fingerprinting requirement, no one is allowed to receive the passport on behalf of an applicant
• Any Angolan citizen will be issued a passport in their name, although children under the age of three years are usually included on their parent's passports
• Applicants 16 years old and younger require parental or guardian consent
• Applicant is required to apply for and pick up the passport in person

An Angolan passport is a travel document issued to citizens of Angola to facilitate international travel. Passports are issued by the Migration and Foreigners Services (Servios de Migrao e Estrangeiros) office in Luanda.
Passports issued by the previous issuing body, the National Directorate of Emigration and Borders of Angola (Dnefa), became invalid on April 19, 2001
